She's a Mother

She's a gift to her children
Our strong devotion each day
A hand in our hand
A breath of fresh air along the way
She's our good fairy godmother
A mighty mom everywhere
The sun in the morning
She's our daily prayer
She's our encouraging voice
As we grow day by day
The rose in the vase
The shine on a cloudy day
She's God's angel sent from heaven
Our bright star in the night
The queen of our souls
She's our shadow in the light
A comfort when she holds you
A memory when she's gone
A million tiny heart beats
The music in a song
She's a love that's everlasting
Worth more than diamonds and gold
We thank God for our mothers
A sacred treasure to behold

I'd Give just about Anything to be able to give Her a good Squeeze and another Kiss on the Cheek..

All Mothers are welcome Here Human and Animal..

Good challenge, Photogirl. Our son brought over a big pot of chili and a grand daughter for Dee’s Mother’s Day supper. It was a very comfortable evening celebrating on the porch.🤗

Is there not an outside window in her room where you could at least see each other? I know this situation would drive me nuts. Best wishes for you and your Mother.

#2 shows all the love your wife had for her Mom. Emotional "last" photograph to cherish.

Bonnie

Thank you.
Her mum was in a nursing home with dementia, my wife was placed into another one about 3 weeks ago with dementia also.

While cleaning out and re-organizing photos, I came across this picture of my mother. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and had artistic flair. She did so many things: sewed constantly, made our clothes, would take dated outfits apart and update them, cooked and baked. She held the fort while dad was away working. Quick witted, she was loved by all. Mom didn't learn to drive until I was in high school - it was excruciating for her and having Dad for a teacher was a disaster so she went to driving school. She got her license and advocated for us kids when we became driving age, "Bob", she would sternly admonish (something she rarely ever did), "these kids aren't going through what I did. They will get their permits and learn to drive!" My husband says he married me because he fell in love with my Mom.

So sorry to hear about your wife and your mother-in-law. May God bless you, the care taker.

I have a lot to be grateful for when it comes to Mothers.....because my brother & I were adopted from a boarding home in MA. We were like 5 & 6 years old when they discovered us and took us home with them after several get togethers of introduction. 6 months later, when I had turned 7, the adoption became legal. So here's a few shots of the Mom.....that chose me! Bob

1.....This is about a year after we were adopted. They just purchased this brand new home in Waltham, Massachusetts. It wasn't long before she planted all around the house!

5.....Her later years were spent in Northern California. She always enjoyed seeing new places so whenever we were able to get together I made sure it became an adventure. This was taken at the Golden Gate Park Gardens in SF. She lived to be 94.

I have nothing recent because she's been gone for 15 years, but here's one taken of the two of us (her a perky 70). You can see by the glint in her eye that quirky nature, and of course she had me cracking up at that moment. She was everywhere, ran the cotillion when I was in grade school, was my Den Mother in Cub Scouts, always behind the scenes helping in whatever projects my brother and I were involved in. "...oh MOM!" was a constant, but I wouldn't be the same person if she hadn't been there for me. Much love...

Other Moms: The first photo was taken in 2017 when I trekked for gorillas in Rwanda. This was the newest infant at 6 weeks old in the Volcanoes National Park and we were the first to visit. The second photo is from September 2018 taken in the Okavonga Delta, Botswana.

Thank you. The mother moved within 6 feet of me and I was able to fire off a dozen or so shots. My heart thumped and my hands shook the entire time. Yes, it was a little scary but a thrill of a lifetime.
