By the way, another possibility is to do a lab scan. From comparisons and reviews I've read, they beat all the other options hands done. Certainly a cheap solution for 1 image.

Take your photo & a thumb drive to your nearest OfficeMaximusDepotimus, scan the pic to the thumb drive and be done with it! They may charge you 'pocket change' if you need their help. Do remember to take everything home with you when you're finished.

Good luck

I know a scanner would work, I am trying to avoid that expense.

Walgreens has a scanner you can use to digitize. The quality is quite good. No expense other than cost of prints.

Use the 28-80mm lens. Zoom to about 80mm. Try to get as close as you can.

Most zoom lenses lose some definition at the extremes of the lens. If you are going to use a lens, use a prime. If you use the zoom, don't go above 70mm. My personal preference is a flatbed scanner. They are not that expensive and have any uses.

If I really cared about the picture and did not want to buy a scanner, I'd send it in to a professional lab and let them do it.
