When the State tells you it's safe to go to Home Depot to buy a sponge
but dangerous to go and buy a flower �it's not about your health!

When the State shuts down millions of private businesses
but doesn't lay off a single government employee �it's not about your health!

When the State bans dentists because its unsafe,
but deems abortion visits are safe �it's not about your health!

When the State prevents you from buying cucumber seeds because it's dangerous,
but allows in-person lottery ticket sales �it's not about your health!

When the State tells you it's dangerous to go golf alone, fish alone or be in a motorboat alone,
but the Governor can get his stage make up done and hair did for 5 TV appearances a week �it's not about your health!

When the state puts you IN a jail cell for walking in a park with your child because its too dangerous,
but let's criminals OUT of jail cells for their health �It�s not about YOUR health!

When the state tells you its too dangerous to get treated by a Doctor of Chiropractic or physical therapy treatments
yet deems a liquor store essential �it�s not about your health!

When the State lets you go to the grocery store or hardware store
but is demanding mail-in voting �ITS NOT ABOUT YOUR HEALTH!

THINK about what is going on...POWER-CRAZED politicians.

Corona response is about a VIRUS, not about politics, inaccurate information or cherry picking specifics from 50 states, it’s very simply about staying alive. Rather than this sort of decisive political, misinformed BS, everyone should make up their own mind how best to proceed within the regulations in THEIR community. You do whatever you think best for you, but your not going to convince doctors and nurses that are looking after sick people that this is about politics, liberal vs conservative, Dems vs Republicans, “fake news” or pro vs anti Trump supporters. My wife is an RN, and the COVID 19 beds at our hospital isolation ward are full, and family members are saying their good byes via IPads - now that is a real FACT.

I think you judge unfairly. What's the difference in going to Walmart where people run around without masks, in many instances refuse to social distance and going to visit loved ones in the hospital where the environment is much more controlled; i.e.,wearing masks, social distances,etc.? Why is a visit to Walmart okay and a visit to a Subway within that same store is not approved. Only Power is the logical answer.

I live in LA, CA.
ALL the big name grocers have always been open. Smaller ethnic grocers- shut down.
Micky Ds have always been open. Smaller mom-n-pops - shut down.
Jack is open- the family run Chinese take out nearby is closed.
Pizza Hut is open- the Burrito Barn is not.
Oh, that big benefit for small (under 500 workers) businesses? There's a built in loophole.
ALL THOSE chains and franchises have little outlets- and they qualify. All those MickyDs, Jacks, Subway, etc shops- each location got a piece. By the time the gov got to the 75 worker factory- so sorry, we ran out.

I'm sorry that was confusing - but it really was for your health.
I believe the SBA funds were passed out by the feds, who did do a mediocre job.
Based on our daughter's experience for a small store, they don't have to resources to get set up to serve you.
You should be happy any body could serve you while the others get their act together.

LA must have different rules than San Francisco. All our grocery stores, large and small, are allowed to stay open. All our restaurants are allowed to remain open on a delivery and takeout basis only. I have patronized small ethnic grocers and Chinese takeout places.

The precautions are not about protecting YOUR health they are about protecting the public's health. If you are tired of playing Russian Roulette, you are quite free to go out and roll around in Coronvirus if that is what turns you on - just don't go bringing it to work, or the store, or the old folks home or end up in Hospital where you will burn up scarce facilities and PPE.
If you do want to protect your health just stay home or keep 6' away from folks, wash your hands and don't touch your face if you have to go out. The rest of the precautions are to protect us from the jerks who won't cooperate and the brave essential workers who can't.
