and what do you call the Spanish Flu?

Here's a little bit of trivia, the 1918 flu pandemic that is often called the "Spanish Flu" didn't originate in Spain. It came to be called "Spanish" because Spain did not censor the news media the way most of the world did at that time. Therefore, nearly all of the news available about the pandemic came from Spain. The earliest known cases actually were here in the US, but the war department censored out any mention in the news. If you believe a pandemic should be named after its point of origin, then we should be calling that one the American Flu.

Point of origin...CHINA. It is definitely not racist to call it the China Virus. It is, however, quite stupid to argue over it. It is the China virus but if you don't like the name you are free to call it whatever you like...but you are not free to call anyone at all racist for calling it by it's proper name...The CHINA virus!!

COVID-19 was invented by the WHO who didn't want to upset the Chinese (or more to the point the CCP). The CCP are the ones really to blame for this. They let it spread around the world as it probably suited their expanionist plans. Unfortunately calling it the Wuhan or Chinese flu does tend to cast some aspersions onto the Chinese people who are in just as much shit as the rest of the world and that is unfortunate.
As far as I can tell the main users of the word racist are the CCP (and a few confused people elsewhere).

Hispanic Flu....
Kind of hard to believe he died of C-19, when there wasn't much left after the tiger had lunch. We had an incident herein Dallas where a lady got shot in the head and torso but got reported a C-19 death.

He was alive on Thursday and not on Saturday.
His heart stopped working because of strain caused by the virus.
This is very simple to understand as a failure caused by the virus.

Similarly, if the ladies heart stopped because of strain caused by the virus;
if she would have lived without that strain, it is "a death connected to the virus".

What tripe !

" WHO announced “COVID-19” as the name of this new disease on 11 February 2020, following guidelines previously developed with the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). "

And probably at the behest of the CCP who are into saving face in the worst way possible.

The "19" means it was discovered in 2019, not that it is the 19th coronavirus. Plus the fact that corona viruses have been around forever. This happens to be a new one for which there no vaccine or cure. The "novel" part of the name means it was transmitted from animal to humans.

He can call it whatever they wants. It's NOT racist to call it the China virus because that's where it's from. It's only racist in the small minds of liberals who live in the little politically correct world that they created, not the real world.

It is NOT racist to refer to a virus by name of the region, country, continent, etc. which was the point of origin. It's simply a geographic identification. It would probably be racist to call it the Chink Virus, for example. I'd suggest you educate yourself on the difference between a geographic location and a population of people living there.

Good points. But, unfortunately some people go out of their way to find something to be offended by.
