Both George Washington and John Adams were against and warned about a two party system. In Washington's farewell address he pretty much predicted what we have today in the division (parties, citizens, and media) of our country.

“The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism.” ... George Washington

“...a division of the republic into two great parties … is to be dreaded as the great political evil.” ... John Adams

That bus driver is a RAP singer who took COV 19 for a name.

The problem the way I see it is that too many people rely on one news source. I happen to read news from two sources in the US and two sources from overseas. By watching government officials give their spin and then read about what was supposed to have been said, it becomes relatively easy to discern the facts. Certain news channels are just spewing sheer BS.

As a physician, I seriously doubt that this is occurring.

Please realize that "cause of death" is very often a judgement call. An obese middle-aged patient presents with pneumonia, their diabetes goes haywire, their blood pressure drops requiring medication to keep it up, they have a stroke, they become comatose, and their terminal event is a heart attack. What was the cause of death? Pneumonia? Heart attack? Stroke?

Also realize that Covid-19 may acutely cause not just pneumonia, but heart attack, stroke, blood clots to the lungs, kidney failure, seizures, and more.

What I believe to be happening is that physicians are being encouraged to use Covid-19 as cause of death when there is a reasonable suspicion that they had Covid-19, and that had they not been infected with Covid-19, they would have likely survived.

As I stated in another thread, I'm getting tired of the 'théorie de l'heure' approach to finding out what is going on. It seems this has become a group of encampments that each believes what they think is correct and the others are wrong. Oh, and politics definitely rears its ugly head, as well. I'd like to find one factual, reliable, accurate, and honest source of news, and not only regarding the current plague.

You probably won't. Most of the people out there have not seen a case of CoVid and do not know anyone who has had it. They have one opinion. Those people who have had a family member get it or know someone who has gotten it have another opinion. The medical people, nurses and doctors who have taken care of those with it are really scared of it. They know how fast things can go downhill. It depends on who you talk to and who you believe.

Who and for what purpose would tell physicians to do that? I’m genuinely curious. When someone is told to falsify medical records there is usually a nefarious or financial gain involved and it should be reported.

Follow the money. It isn’t necessarily nefarious but the medical folks don’t usually miss an opportunity. Only if they tested would there be accurate figures.

Clint f, I happen to think that you are off your rocker. Ya, the medical people are going out there risking their lives for a financial gain? There are a lot of easier ways to make lots of money than your stupid suggestion.

The claim about over-coding Covid-19 is based on the extra $13,000 per Covid-19 patient and $39,000 per ICU Covid-19 patient that Medicare has decided to pay hospitals because it costs hospitals more to take care of Covid patient as compared to non-Covid patients. These are not payments to doctors. Doctors do not benefit in any way from these Medicare funds.

Good luck with that on any level. That level of expectation is long gone.

That source is Al Jazzerra
