Phil, these are great images. You have an excellent collection of images. Eagles, WOW!
We had a Coopers Hawk in the tree just outside our den about two weeks ago. What a thrill. I was able to get a shot through the door window. We live in an area with lots of Pine trees, so we have hawks come hunting for squirrels!!!!

Thanks Rowedean, did you get a chance to visit the Sandhill Cranes?

Excellent shots, Phil! The eyes of these predators are unnerving whether they are looking at you or elsewhere.

Predatory eyes! Yes there is such a thing and the vision that predators are gifted with has always fascinated me. Thanks for the comments Carol!

I am still working with this past winter's raptor photos. These are mostly Red-tails with one Cooper's Hawk. February was a gift that keeps on giving!

A magnificent set, phil! Beautiful lighting and compositions.

Thanks for the kind words John. That is a Cooper's Hawk. They are very similar in appearance to Sharp-shinned Hawks but considerably larger.

Thank you for the kind words Horatio. I am fairly sure at times they see themselves reflected in the front element of the lens.

Yes! I had never thought of that possibility.

Gorgeous in DL. Have you noticed the individual variability of Red-Tailed Hawks? The feather pattern even the colors can be significantly different from individual individual.

Thanx for sharing.
