We all have - CHOICES. and only you can make them.
Just because your choices do not agree with mine does not give you the right to force your choices on me. If you do not agree then refer to sentence 1 above

I think you're spewing out too much common sense.
There was probably never a time when everyone thought it was important to do something, even a small thing, for the benefit of their fellow man. Humans are selfish creatures. But, as civilized people, we should try to think about others. Wearing a mask is a minor inconvenience during this time. Unfortunately, this country has now a significant population of people who feel their rights are more important. I have mine, screw you.

That is precisely why I said that this is analogous to carrying a knife up and down the store aisle.
Your "freedom" to carry that knife may result in my being sliced if I do not avoid you;
likewise, your "freedom" to not wear a mask may result in my being infected since we may not know you are "shedding" virus.

He is displaying either extreme ignorance or extreme indifference to his fellow men.
He is putting his convenience ahead of harm that might be caused to others.

When you are out, please wear a mask. I will do the same

That,s an idiotic response
There’s a difference between a comma and an apostrophe.

Not "options", Paul, "realities"! Usually only one is a choice... the other results from coercion!
I believe that in a free and just society people exercise their rights with choices that do not infringe on the rights of others.
You have an unrealistic view of the nature of mankind. Though average might be “good” average can’t be counted upon to be SMART! Average is basically STUPID AND DANGEROUS!!
Unfortunately, Stan, one's choices are only "null and void" if not acted on, thus not "chosen". Once an action is taken there are consequences - good or bad or neutral. Speed limits are regularly disregarded, sometimes with disastrous results.
According to Scripture, God made mankind able to make and act on good and bad choices. Society promulgates laws to reign in bad choices and bad actions. In no society on the planet does that work 100 per cent.
Who said anything about "averages'?

Well, “he” still has a choice. And as someone else said, our choices have consequences and “he” may be the ok with that.

The Mayor of Austin TX just said on CNN that the penalty of not wearing a facemask is that others will get sick. A person who "OK" with that is showing total disregard for other Human Beings.

Well old coot in a sense you are correct but if your choice is to go out and get CoVid-19 then don't go to the hospital. The nursing and medical staff don't have the choice to treat you or not. They have to place the tubes down your throat to your lungs and stomach to let you breath and feed you. They have to empty the bag on your backside to collect the diarrhea and empty the urine bag. They have to turn you every two hours and keep you sedated so you do not pull tubes out in your delirium. They have to suction your throat tube of secretions to keep you from choking to death and they have to keep you on an ice mattress to control your 104 degree fever. And lastly they may get your CoVid-19. We have lost to many doctors and nurses from this.
