If it was 1960 and the photographer was 10, he or she would be 60 today.

That would be 70. I made my mistake and you made yours.

I realized my error the second I pressed the send button, but it was too late to change it.

Thank you for all the terrific posts with outstanding insight and links to Anchorage, the earthquake and Star. I also have enjoyed my trip back to visit my memories of my grandparents and their pink De Soto.

Actually, if you realise it, you can click on the edit button that appears for a little bit right after you post. I have fat-fingered some posts and that button is so very helpful.

Be fast, as the button disappears rather quickly.

Me too!

Where in Philly? I ask because I'm originally from Olney (feels like a hundred years ago, new math indeed).

Sadly we don't have the pink '56 DeSoto anymore. I think it went through 3 transmissions and about 6 sets of brakes while we had it, and it was truly fast.

This was a surprisingly fun topic. Hope the OP is happy the way it turned out.

Brian, at Stewart's Photo, contacted the current owner of Star and he stated that the photograph was taken in May of 1965. That should help narrow down the search.

If anyone is considering buying online for camera gear, please think about the small photography store. Stewart's in Anchorage would greatly appreciate your business. I have purchased from them for years and give them the highest recommendation. They will never upsell you.

Thank you.
