replacement cartridges for canon pro-100 printer
The third party stuff I use is LCL, been using for a long time, no problems

I have only used Canon ink with no regrets.
Ditto. You have a very good photo printer - why compromise by buying cheap inks.
I use a Pen o 10 Printer and I do not know if Canon offers the same deal with Pro 100 inks. However, whenever I purchase a block of different color inks from Canon on line they offer free Pro Paper. The price for the ink is the same as any camera store, but the paper is free and very good.
On on a little different note I use HP instant ink program I pick the number of pages that I think I'm going to do per month and pick a plan that fits that usage they charge me $3.18 a month and when the printer asks for new ink it just shows up. Right now my usage is saving me about 50% over buying it in a store. I haven't tried one of the other ink companies because I am happy with what is going on right now just a thought
I only used 3rd party inks once, and the results weren't great. I will admit, however, that the problem was ONLY with the magenta cartridge. Every print had a VERY strong magenta tine - even the black and whites! I changed out the magenta cartridge for a Canon one, and the problem cleared up.
I am disappointed with my latest Canon ink purchase for the Pixma Proof 100. Three of the eight cartridges are leaking within the sealed packaging. I am to the point where I'd consider third party. Precision might sound appealing.
.
I have an HP Officejet Pro 8720 and use the instant ink program for $4.95 per month. I will probably go over this month since my wife is working from home, and I do all of her printing. Great program and using quality inks.
I had an Epson 1430 printer and decided to try non OEM ink. I searched the internet for a reliable product and shortly after had my ink nozzles clog up. After many attempt to clear the problem using a kit made specifically for that purpose I had to give up. I learned that replacing the print head on Epson printers would be difficult. A review of other brands found that Canon's Pro 100 has a removable replaceable ink head. Even though I bought the Canon I won't use non Canon ink. I preferred the Epson because it allowed for panoramas much wider than the Canon. I've printed 13x38 panos with the Epson but am restricted to 13x26 (actually 25 1/2 or the printer won't print) I always check various suppliers on the internet for the best price on Canon ink but be careful everyone has off brands they want you to buy. Canon Pixma 42 series ink is the one.
All the settings for a perfect picture are set by Canon using Canon Ink. Non original ink will give you a change ion is enough for you fine. Also warranty is with Canon ink.
a lot of us on the blog will cut corners and some won't. I say do you thing and have fun

Check out Jose Rodriguez on YouTube he only (after much testing ) recommends using Precision Inks they are the closest to OEM.
Yes, lots of good info, and I've gotten great results from refill kits.
Ironically, I bought a refill kit for my Canon iP4500, but the print head is now no good.
I wish both canon and Epson would offer ink tank systems both on all there printers or at least an add on system for existing printers. This would save us all a lot of money plus give us ink that lasts a while. And reduce our cost per print.
It appears that Canon and Epson make all in one printers with ink tank systems not printers intended for photo printing. These printers only have 3 or 4 inks not good for serious photo printing.
I use Arthur inks that I bought through Amazon and have had no problems.
I have used LD Products for years in Canon printers. I have a Pro-100 now for only a few months and the LD cartridges are working fine.
My last Canon 8 pack ink purchase included three leaking ink cartridges in original wrap. That makes their ink pretty expensive when only five out of eight cartridges are usable especially at Canon's prices.
