I have just purchased a canon pro-100 printer. Has anyone used replacement cartridges from after market suppliers i.e. "inkjet.com" or other suppliers? The cost difference is quiet dramatic, $124 canon, verses $35 for "inkjet.com". Obviously I am censored about quality and stability of the prints produced with the less expensive cartridges. Thanks
Check out Jose Rodriguez on YouTube he only (after much testing ) recommends using Precision Inks they are the closest to OEM.
I have only used Canon ink with no regrets.
I only use Canon ink in my printer. We spend thousands $$ on equipment and travel, why skimp on the ink to make the final product? To me it is like using a cheap SD card and hoping for the best.
I use precision inks for my Canon pro 100 for years.
No problems.
As good as Precision Colors inks are, they will match color very well. But as a 3rd party ink, they will not have the longevity of Canon inks. There are several sprays that can be used to increase print life. Paper choice is also important. Those with Optical Brightening Agents will not last as long. Enjoy the Pro-100. Great printer! I would not use third third party ink cartridges. There are too many horror stories about that. I have had some bad experiences myself. I started watching videos by Jose Rodiguez, and he strongly suggests using Precision Inks. They are great inks that you buy in bulk and reload your own cartridges. I have a Pro-100, and you can't tell the difference between these inks and OEM. You can save a lot, but it is a commitment to start reloading and if you don't print at least a fair amount it isn't really worth the effort.
Thanks for all the input!!! I think I will stay with the canon cartridges, at least to start with and see how much I use. Thanks again
Another vote for Precision Colors refill system. I have used it since a few months after I got my Canon 100 a few years ago. The paper used is important for longevity and Mr Rodriguez is a great resource.
There are coating to help preserve the pictures and for a print hung in an area with a lot of natural light there are frames with ant-UV glass or plastic.

Where do you find Jose Rodriquez’s webinars? I especially want to view the seminar with the owner of Precision Colors.

I use a Canon TS9120 and have had excellent results with EZInk ez1nk123.com. Which I buy from Amazon.
Canon Printer recognizes the cartridges so no problem there.
I use 3rd party inks, never had a problem...ever!
I use ink from cartridge America without any problems
