Who would pay $269 for a 32GB CF card when they cost $30 at B&H? Whatever these are designed for, with a max write: 35 MB/sec Max, it's not action photography where that $30 SanDisk model is 120 MB/s.

And what would you do with 4GB of storage? Modern 24MP cameras create JPEGs about 7.5MB each and RAW files about 29MB. Maybe 500 JPEGs is useful, capacity for roughly 137 RAW files is worthless. Someone should be paying you to take cards less than 16GB off their hands ....

They are not for Canon or Sony cameras.

No. My understanding is that they are intended for particular industrial uses where either long term exposure to harsh environments or as memory in hard to access elements. I do not know that they would be worth the extra cost for most photography applications.

That's not what the OP said in their multiple posts into this thread, but maybe you can read their mind better than their words ....

Aren't the ones and zeroes of data ignorant of what media they are stored in? As long as you get the same ones and zeroes you WROTE back when you READ life is good! Backed-up ones and zeroes are best!
