As you can see from your last photo, that is the reason I HATE blue herons. They steal the fish I have in my pond. The fish they take are not CHEAP...grass eating carp, and koi...They are not very smart...I have a pic of one standing right next to a decoy like they are in love.

I can only imagine what they can do after seeing him catch and swallow it whole. Once in a life time for me to get thesse pictures.

I used to work for Auto Club So. Calif. and when we moved HQ to a new site in Costa Mesa, CA, we had a beautiful pond around the cafeteria stocked w/Koi. The seabirds quickly discovered it and even more quickly cleaned it out.
