Holy Smoley, you really cleaned up Grandpaw! New, that equipment would be around $7500! What a blessing! Use it in good health.

The 14-24 alone would have been great at that price.
Hope you get a lot of use out of your treasures.
What is the shutter count on the 810?
Well I ,must say at the price I got the equipment I didn't care about the shutter count, but to answer your question and my curiosity I checked and was really surprised!!!! The shutter count on my newly acquired D810 is 3,978. Thanks for asking the question.

Sounds like that estate didn't need every penny for what they sold. Hopefully the heirs were just as well off as the photographer.

As addendum, now is a fine time to buy used luxury items such as a camera or ROLEX.
A lot of people need ca$h in a down economy and people who have the cash are reluctant release it in tight times.
You are one lucky Guy. Enjoy.
Wow! Are you sure your not dreaming.
The only cameras I find at estate sales in these parts are usually old and broken š¬š

That's typical everywhere ... but there are diamonds amongst the coal.
I enjoy the search somewhat just to see what is there.
If you do, you will find deals. If you don't you will find frustration.
I picked up a 'MEUCCI ORIGINAL' pool cue for $10.00 at a garage sale once and some other deals.

I managed to get this D810 with grip and two batteries along with these three lenses today, all for $1570.00 including tax.
I am one happy person. I picked these up at an estate sale today.
You stole this. What a haul!
That was one heck of a deal.

Congratulations on the killer price you paid for your purchases. This is the reason I've created a list of all my new and used photographic gear purchases (including dates of purchases, prices paid, condition at time of purchase, retailer, serial numbers and photos) currently valued at over $25,000 -- so my wife will have this information when I die and has to liquidate all this stuff and hopefully not get too ripped-off.
