Is this pushing the limits of cartooning? It certainly generated a laugh from me.

My dog would do that with every tough little dog if I would let him and I have to admit sometimes I think about letting him.

About fifteen yeas ago, I heard a commotion on our front porch. I discovered that one of our daughters had left our year-old ‘tortie’ cat tied up on the porch. She had wrapped the leash around a pillar, and while she was limited in motion, our neighbor’s dog - similar to the one in the cartoon - had come over. The noise I had heard was her hissing and the dog staying a few feet away barking. She later died of lymphoma, but I would have bet on her if she had been the one on the end of the other leash. Now we have a ‘tortie’ kitten in the family. Once she grows a little more, I would bet on her also - she shows the same ‘tortitude’ that other one had.
