During this pandemic who wants to use a public restroom anyway. Saw a note the other day in a travel guide saying a solution to the restroom dilemma sometimes encountered while on the road is to take a portable camping toilet along.
Reminds me of the father back in the 50's that had two boys and when he would travel he would put a hose in the hole of the floorboard with a funnel for the boy's to use to pee so he would not have to stop as many times as they traveled.
I remember taking the train in the Fifties. Sign on the restroom said "do not use when train is stopped at the station". It was simply a hole straight down to the track. Ugh, the good old days!
