Something strange is happening. There are three replies on the current topic "Just a yes or no" on page 7 in Main Photo Discussion under my username that I DID NOT post.

Can a user be spoofed on UHH? A user account hacked? Last week I caught another occurrence of the same thing.

Anyone else seen this before with their username?

Sure you didn't make them? They are in your history from August of 2018.

There are many ways, but not knowing your computer habits and having access to your computer there is no way to answer that question on this forum.

And LS might be right, if it's an old thread, you might have forgotten about it. Heck, I forget things I type the next day if I am heavy on the bourbon the night before.

I don't see it that way. It looks like the user seagull5 is the one asking that question not you. So don't worry about it. That seagull5 person is either illiterate or they are using a foreign language conversion thing that doesn't make a bit of sense to anyone.

He was asking in regards to posts he or "his username" made, not the OP.

It looks like you, or someone who got a hold of your creds resurrected that post in 2019 and then again in 2020.

You first replied Feb 28th 2019 and then again April 29th 2020.

So if someone did steal your credentials that means you haven't changed your password in over a year. And that is a cascading effect because it probably happens on other websites you have accounts on, so there are numerous ways (if you didn't make those posts) that someone could harvest very old and never changing credentials.

Long story short, change your password.

Could someone have guessed your password?

Check your posting history to see if there are any other suspect posts since Feb 28, 2019,
or a while before April 29, 2020 at least.

As much as I love a good forensics case, it looks like it's just him replying to old posts and not realizing it. I would think if someone went to steal a password for a random user on a photog forum, they would be a little more disruptive then trying to answer an OP's question..

Not ever having seen that topic, I did not post to it. So this is happening elsewhere .

I have private-messaged Admin about this. I'll see what he/she says.
