I have a dilemma regarding this program. Many years ago I purchased this program and while I only use it once in a while, I have had both my desktop and laptop crash over the last few months. They are both back up and running but when I load the above program it needs a 15 digit serial and as all my emails from 2019 and back are now gone I can't get my serial. The company has discontinued this program and there is no way to retrieve my serial number.
I have run several searches but all I get is virus infected responses that do not supply a legit serial. Does anyone have a way to obtain a working serial number? Preferably without viruses, malware, spam-ware etc. You can pm me if you wish. Thanks gang.
I don't believe you can get it anymore - some time ago I needed mine, and could not even buy a new copy. Checked just now, two dead ends. If you figure it out, please update. I wouldn't mind having it again.
...there's nothing on the market now that would substitute?

I haven't found one that even comes close. As this is a dead horse I'm hoping that a UHH member might share a serial number.

Yes, you can download it but you still need the elusive serial number.

From the Microsoft FAQ pages:
Customers that misplaced their key may easily retrieve it following these steps:
a. Connect to your local Microsoft Store website in the USA
b. Sign into the store with the same ID you used when purchasing AutoCollage.
c. Near the top of the page there are a few rows of links. Click on the "Account" link.
d. You will see a page entitled "Microsoft Store Account - Purchase History." The date and time of your order of AutoCollage should be listed. In the right side of this entry, under "Items:", you should see Microsoft Research AutoCollage 2008, along with a line which says "License:" and shows your product key.

I've had many ID's over the years and God only knows which one I used for this. It was a good idea, thanks any way.
Fotofusion by Lumapix is the most powerful collage software I've ever seen - but it's about $199.

I keep an address book just for my computer stuff - passwords and the like. Under the product name I keep things like activation codes. When I get a download for installing a product I transfer a copy into a USB memory stick. Between the download and the activation codes I'm safe if I ever have to reinstall.

If you ever ran
Belarc Advisor on either machine and kept a copy, your key will be there.
If you still have AutoCollage installed on an old drive, run Belarc and you may very well be able to retrieve the key.

Assuming that you cannot obtain that serial number, learn from this episode.
Going forward, save the Serial Number (aka Install Key, aka Activation Code) of each and every program on your system. I recommend doing such WHEN you install a program, and don't wait till later. I use a program called Password Administrator (long deceased, but still works for me), and in that I put every self-installed program along with the associated ID and the serial number....for possible future use....like when reinstalling onto a new machine. Also, I have directories, one each for "Downloaded Commercialware, Shareware, Freeware, since you will likely need the installers also if a company has gone out of business (example, the recent closing of Photodex --- ProShow Gold.)
For what it worth: Google Photos can do collages and it is free.
