My new camera arrived. Sort of selfie.
Well, my camera and lenses arrived finally. Whew.
I got the M262, a 90mm Elmarit, a 28mm Elmarit, and I have a 35mm Summarit coming Tuesday. That should do it for me. I really miss shooting film but it is what it is. I kept trying to think of ways that would allow me to shoot film but none were acceptable to me. I just don't like shooting film and leaving most of the process to someone else OR doing a hybrid process.
So here we are Mr. Digital again!
Don't make fun of the out of focus-ness or the mess, we are in the process of moving to FL.

I am in the same boat. My first "real" digital camera arrived on Monday. I bought a Canon SX 70 bridge.
Good luck!

Yeah...thanks!
Good luck to you too. I guess we all have to do what we have to do at some point.
If film were cheaper to develop and print with an outside vendor, I would have kept shooting film but I can't do the 15.00 per roll thing...it would kill me. (and not having a darkroom anymore means I won't be doing it at home either)
Congratulations on your Leica and lenses; good choices all. My son (22) loves to shoot film, and has fantasized about owning Leica, but he's in college & broke, so he "makes do" with my F3.

Thanks!
My second favorite film camera...a Nikon (that I sold to fund the digital.)
Congratulations, I think you will like it. Many of us went through that conversion phase but being able to shoot as many times as you like makes it easy to fall in love with!

Where in Florida will you be living?

Port St. Lucie. I've visited there several times and my wifes family lives there (hence the chosen location) :)
I'm really looking forward to better weather and no snow.

A beautiful area, you're across the state from me in Spring Hill.
I moved here from Philly in Oct.2010, I grew up in Pittsburgh and lived in Cleveland for five years too. I definitely don't miss the cold and snow and sleet and freezing rain.

Howdy neighbor!
I grew up in southern California, moved to West Virginia in 2003 and for a few years loved the weather but shoveling snow is getting old hat...
I'm not in love with humidity but I do like the option of wearing shorts year 'round.
Enjoy Florida and keep sending up photos with your Leica...would love to see how the older models do, I would like to get one!!
