during this period of stay at home; what is the one thing that was the most important to you?????
To me it was that we haven't lost our electric power. Without power we couldn't do anything.
Give thanks for the things we have.

I hate to burst your bubble but if there is no electricity the pumps at the gas station won't be operating to fill your containers so you can continue to run your generator.

We don't have "tanks"
Ours runs on Natural Gas.

My Generac also runs on natural gas and we had one 15 hour outage so far. The good side of this isolation is that I started cutting fire wood and am almost stocked up for next winter. It will soon be time to start a garden!

Thatโ€™s exactly why I have a whole house generator.

Our power went out several times, but for no more than half an hour. Fortunately, I have a 5kW generator. Without power, we have no water, so electricity is important to us. What I think is odd is that we might lose electric, but we still have cable and phone, so it's not a like a tree took down wires.

With out power we have nothing. No phone (cell doesn't work here) no water (we have our own well) no cable (we are on satellite) we do have a small generator to keep out food safe.
So with out power we are screwed.
However we do have lots of Spam.

I bought a generac that runs on propane same as my furnace and stove. I've had it for almost 2 years along with the panel and all the parts to install it. It is finally installed now that I've had time off. ๐Ÿ˜‚ We did get to use it once last week. It was WONDERFUL.

You are right....
We lost power for 4 days and that Generac just kept us happy.
Our neighbor even plugged his refrigerator in and he didn't loose food.
