Some take this as a panacea, an ideal situation, fly, sing, feed, reproduce...

Well, given a choice between a bird and a mole I select being a mole.

A bird whatever it does has to be weary of everything from above, below and in between.

As a mole, the only thing to worry about is a flood and even then going to the surface can save you, beside food goes up with you! Hot? Cold? windy? No problem, underground the temperature does not vary that much. No light? Who cares, a mole is near sighted (or so it is said). Singing? Bah, over rated.

So given a choice what do would you consider as a 'life form' if you had a choice?

I know some will try to put me down as being an idiot among other things to even think of that. Good for them, it is just a réflexion of their own value, no skin of my back.

I, in fact agree!
Socialization is forced upon me, not something I go looking for.
In these days of isolation, the social birdies are dying, exhibiting mental anguish from being forced to quarantine themselves.
I am happy working from home not having to deal with the doldrums of others.
Too bad it will not last......

It’s a good thing that every person has a choice. I don’t think I’d like to live in a world where I never saw the sun and felt the warmth on my skin. So I guess I would have to be what I was called by my ex, a wolf. Except on the days she was really PO’d and then I was either a lowlife mangy dog or a filthy pig.

I have been socially distant my whole life. I prefer to be alone with the exception of family (and even they are overbearing at times). It is no great change for me to stay away from others. I now have an excuse to ignore anyone who sees me in public an thinks I want to chat. I just get in my truck and drive away.

I would choose to be a badger and have you for lunch.

Call me Mr. Nit Picker, but weary means tired. If you were trying to say the mole is cautious of things above, the word is wary.

Then you will starve, not enough meat.

So, you would prefer being a morlock to an eloi. Just saying.

Wow! From a mole to a cannibalistic science-fiction tribe...

Your imagination is relentless! (Not a bad thing)

Actually I would prefer to be a rabbit. The benefits of reproduction is appealing!
