Played around with a couple of old cameras today.
Me in front of Blood Island. Practicing wearing the mask. Out on a hike with Sally at Painted Rock Conservation area. Walked a couple of miles to the Osage River. In back of me is Blood Island in the Osage River, we are near Folk, MO. a town of about 15 - 20 people. I went to Folk to take pictures at the Catholic Church in Folk. St. Anthony of Padaua. The last picture is at the Church. The second photo is of the river and Blood Island. The sling I have for my camera is one of the best camera straps I have ever had. Been on the camera for years and as long as they make them I will have one. The other two shots are Bleeding Heart blossoms. A very pretty, but small flower.

I've never seen Bleeding Heart blossoms before. Very nice, especially the second one which has the curve to the stem.

This one is special, for me anyway. Yesterday morning I went down to the wharf with my first cup to catch the sunrise and here was this Laker steaming upstream....it got close...WHAT? Here is a Laker with no bow thruster and not a self unloader owned by Canada Steamship and built 50 years ago.....I know this ship as a shipfitter from stem to stern, every square foot, we built it at the yard here. This ship was also one of the last that had rubbing bars riveted, look at her scars and wrinkles....made my day, I toasted her with fond memories as she steamed by
