The smart phone... that's the extent of photography for most of today's millennial generation. Ya gotta admit they do come in handy at times. The smart phone and the internet did in photography magazines.

I subscribe to several in digital format only. (zino.com)
Nat Geo - Great examples of photos
Lens Work
Great magazines are gone. But their are some blogs of interest online.
Photobloger, F Stoppers and a lot of individual shooters who know what
they are doing. And surprise youtube has a lot of interesting people
talking about gear and approaches to visualization.
Google and youtube as become the go to answers for questions.
Their are not many great books anymore. Oh well.

I used to subscribe to LensWork when I was doing 4x5 work. Don't know if it's still in print but I think it available on-line.
I don't subscribe but have been given copies of Nature Photographer by John Gerlach at a number of his workshops. This magazine contains the work of field contributors whose images are of professional quality . It is printed in Canada and I believe it comes four times per year @$20 bulk mail or $32 first class in the US. The articles are in depth and I find very valuable too improving ones ability. The advertising is limited and covers mostly workshops offered by some of the contributors.

Really Right Stuff has a quarterly (now maybe semi-annual) magazine that is very good. It can be downloaded here:
https://www.reallyrightstuff.com/magazineThey will also send you a printed version if you e-mail or call them. It features the work of a number of top photographers who explain how they get their shots and what equipment they use. Obviously, they all use RRS accessories like bullheads and tripods. But it is not a blatant advertisement.
Wow! Thanks- looks like something I’d be interested in for sure.
I get N Photo on my Kindle - I would enjoy it much more if I could get the print version but an international subscription (N Photo is a UK mag) costs $99.

And to think I once killed trees all the time! I took 27 different magazines in the mid-1980s. (Most were photography, video, and AV industry trade publications.)
Digital camera world is the best publication in the world for photography. Highly recomend.
Lens Work. No subscription, but the images are worth a look. Buy it when I am at B&N...

Like Bill, I subscribed to Outdoor Photographer for many years. It is online now so it takes up a lot less room in my house.
And like Bill and cameraf4, I subscribe to Outdoor Photographer. Being a bit Stone Age, I take the print format. I can leaf through past issues, or read the magazine in bed: not an option with a large screen i-Mac. I remember some earlier magazines from my film days, but they are all history.
"Outdoor Photographer," Lenswork," and "Olympus Passion," which I receive online. Also, "Click," a publication designed primarily for women photographers, often has some good work in it; I buy it from time to time.
