How does the Photo Contest/Challenge work?

I have been following Ugly Hedgehog for about a year and have truly enjoyed the discussions and Photo Gallery. I often look at the Photo Contest/Challenges but wonder just how they work. When it says "rerun" does it mean the "challenge" is now current? Do the dates correspond to when it is/was rerun? Thanks so much and looking forward to learning more about this aspect of Ugly Hedgehog.

The section between the one titled "Main Photography Discussion" and "Photo Gallery" is called "Photo Contests, Challenges, Periodicals". Right before each Challenge, in parentheses, are the words "a rerun".

No, I do not see "rerun" on that page. Here is an example of the page I get notice of all the time.

If you are interested in entering or viewing the challenges, simply go directly to that section of UHH (the link I provided). Click "watch" at the top of first page of any threads you are interesting in tracking, then the next time you log in, go to top of any UHH page and click the "watched topics" list. That helps keep track of where you were last time you viewed a topic.
The emailed daily digest is just a sampling of what was posted to UHH the previous day. It does not contain sections to which you're not subscribed. To see a list of all UHH sections, and to subscribe to ones of interest, go to "all sections" at the bottom of this page.

In today’s edition all three have (a rerun) in front.

When you read a comment that has included the quote from another user, as I did when replying to Jack, if the reply is to you, your name will show up in bold. That makes it little easier to follow.Another handy tip today, free of charge 😀
