Judy was fantastic, but that was Hollywood, not live.
Thanks, Len.

In my mind, "Sing, Sing, Sing" may be the best tune ever!

Written by Louis Prima (36'), but made famous by Goodman. (38')

Dave Brubeck and his sons played at Davidson College when I was there in the mid-1970s. I have B&W negatives. I need to digitize them.

I have many Brubeck tunes on my iPhone!

Thanks, Bill. I saw him about 6 times at a variety of venues - New York City area.

Yeah, he played a lot there! I sometimes wish I’d seen the DB Quartet live.

After living in High Point, I wish I’d seen Coltrane before he died. He was from here. His boyhood home is here, he went to the same high school my twins did, and there’s a big bronze statue of him downtown. Labor Day weekends, we normally have the Coltrane Jazz Festival here.

My Dad was a HUGE fan of most of the others you listed. He had a shelf of scratchy 78 RPM record albums.

I do know John Coltrane was from your area. Thanks for the response. You are one of my favorites of “The Good Guys” on UHH.
