When I use my Adobe subscription to Lightroom and photoshop and work in Lightroom and when want to do additional editing in photoshop, I do not see that option as light up. Any idea why I cannot access photoshop from my Lightroom subscription? Thank you.

Try this:

Go to "Photo" on your top bar. From the drop down, select "edit in" from that drop down select "Photoshop 2020"

There was an earlier version of Photoshop that did not allow Lightroom to access it unless it was opened . That was corrected by the next update. Do you have the most recent update?

You must download both PS and LR to your desktop if you are using LR Classic and PS. If you're in a cloud version I have no idea as I don't use the cloud version. Refer to the user manual found online at Adobe regarding your specific version and see if that does not answer your question.

If you have both LR and PS installed, right click on photo and pick "edit in". PS plus any other plugins will be select-able.

There is a shortcut to jump from Lightroom to Photoshop :Command or control E will jump you from Lightroom to Photoshop
Now let’s say you’ve made your changes in Photoshop and you want to get back to Lightroom with your newly improved picture. Here is the important part!

Choose File > Save.
DO NOT choose Save As.
If you change the name of the file it won’t pick up the changes in Lightroom and your workflow is broken.

Go back into Lightroom and you will see your changed file and the original file in your Lightroom Library.
There is no shortcut to jump back because Lightroom does not save files the same way Photoshop does

When working on a file in LR, I just hit control+E and it opens in PS. (MAC)
