I'd rather not comment since you have no common sense.
The seven deadly sins were the cause of the death of "Common sense"
Boy, I remember when the War of the Worlds took place, there were Martians everywhere and how about those scary space ships? To this day I can't be leave the government never shut down during that whole thing, lucky for us every thing turned out alright in the end. Orson Wells would have been proud of this one, had he thought of it.
Wow 9 pages on this topic...
Wear a mask, wash your hands, don't touch your face, don't get close to other people. Practice disinfectant and quarantine protocols for stuff brought in from outside your home, otherwise go about your business. If you are in a high risk group stay home; yep that goes for a lot of people who frequent this forum. Shutting down the economy is just as reckless as doing nothing.
Remember the government isn't going to be the answer - you have to take care of yourself - we live in a free country. The lock down will be over when WE say its over. Our government knew this would happen and cut funding and stockpiles of masks and other medical supplies they knew we would need. Then to avoid a panic, they lied about wearing masks so they could funnel the precious supplies to health care workers. Why on earth we tolerate liars and corruption as a society is beyond me. Then they ran up the deficit to take advantage of the catastrophe. Remember the rich and powerful already have gotten the bailout. It is why political donor private equity and hedge fund valuations have skyrocketed.
For the few of you living under a rock and don't believe that this is real, here are a few valuable resources:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.htmlhttps://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/new-caseshttps://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/?utm_campaign=homeAdUOA?#countriesFor those of you in rural areas, it takes longer to spread but its coming as surely as the next sunrise. Rural areas have a severe shortage of hospital care the mortality rate will be higher - and never counted or measured.
For those who refuse to take precautions:
Thank you for your service. Your reckless willingness to take a chance promotes herd immunity. It's also good for natural selection.
Without the lock down it would’ve resulted in a larger peak of affected cases and run a shorter timeframe The peak of the epidemic would’ve resulted in overwhelming any of the local hospitals and creating a larger death rate

That sentence makes no grammatical sense!
A lot of what's posted on UHH makes no grammatical sense. I often wonder how many folks go back and read what they typed before posting it.

Trump never said he would. He has continually said he will work with the governors. If he doesn't then you can say he lied. Trump understands the constitution better than you Libs who have just discovered the 10th Amendment.
Stop choosing to be so IGNORANT! Saying shit like this doesn't do any one any good and only drives the wedge of division deeper between people. Time to put a lid on such bullshit.

Give him a break. He only has to fight the virus, China, Dems, and a Hostile Press continually playing, Gotcha!.
You can brag a little especially if you are Trump because no one else will do it for you.
Bragging? You must be smoking something. He virtually declared himself king. To his limited credit, he later tried to walk it back after he was educated by the governors. He might do well to read the constitution. LOL

I ranted about the lack of proper grammar and spelling several months ago. All it got me was that the Millennials don't care and the others just didn't answer. But I'm with you...I think that all postings should be scored for proper grammar and those that don't pass will go into another forum--the "Lazy Grammar forum" so that I don't have to read them. Then we could run a statistical analysis on them and see how many are Canon shooters and how many use PCs.....inquiring minds want to know.....ha

BBC news UK showed the President claiming sole responsibility for decisions about lock-down in USA??
You need to wait a day or so and see what he says then.
In this case, the governors explained that he does not have that power ..... they do.
Now, he is also saying that also.

Yes - our county and city has had 2 cases - 1 was on one of those ships and the other had visited in LA. We are a rural mountain county/area 60 mi from Sacramento which has many cases - also we are about 60+% of retired people.
