'Tis a possibility.

The thing I dislike is where one CANNOT run them.
I live a mile from Valley Forge National Park.

I remember when Earl (DOOK) lost his drone. Someone found it and returned it. I sure miss him.

with the myriad of new FAA restrictions on flying drones, the opportunities to fly are severely limited. "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help you".

That cartoon is typical of the person who has no idea what they are doing. Not quite the same, but would a person just climb into a plane and take off? These drones: I have 3, are very complex and if one follows proper preflight procedures, most likely they will last a long time. I have many hours of flying these and have never had a problem. The cartoon shows what soooo many have done; not letting the drone acquire satellites, or calibrate the compass, or IMU, before taking off. Just a few things that should be done. If you just unbox, start it, then fly; it won't take long to loose it or crash it. When done properly, they are safe, reliable, and a lot of fun. And for this forum, they take photos at altitude along with up to 4K video. Most photos are taken around eye level. Climb to 25 feet and take the same scene...then go to 125 feet....what a difference!

Love mine also. Read and reread the manual before flying. Then went out and practiced flying it quite a few time before I used the camera just to feel so what comfortable flying it. Takes great photos and great 4k vids. Only problem is the restrictions in Nat. parks.

You have to crash a couple. It's part of learning. I had flyaways above the Arctic Circle, where GPS is iffy. Always managed to get them back though :)

The restrictions are largely due to private property owners' complaints and irresponsible drone operators endangering public safety.
