It's a 35mm film rangefinder. It has a big and bright viewfinder - best one I've seen on any camera from that era.

The one I have is different. I have attached several photos. I don't know if it is older or newer but I did actually use it back in the 90's when I was in business.

Voigtlander Vitessa - I always thought that plunger was a weird way to cock the shutter and advance the film. Seems awkward and not very pretty.
