My photo books are 2 sports - high school hockey season, 2019 football championship season. Goal is creating books easily quickly w quality. Any additional input will be used as well.
Thanks!

Easily and quickly are not necessarily compatible with high quality. I’ve done about a dozen books with Shutterfly - mostly driving tours and boats trips. Prep time before upload doing selection and in PS is significant. Then, Shutterfly has lots of options, etc. I’ve seen books done quickly and easily that I wouldn’t put on my shelf.

Hi! Looking for specific best apps to create photo books. Easy to use, quality work. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Shutterfly is my go to. Have used it for years. Tried a few others and always went back to Shutterfly. Easy-peasy, great quality, and they still have all the photos I uploaded 10 years ago even though I rarely order from them in the last few years. I will be soon though. Have another book in mind.

I use Shutterfly, they have their own apps that are very easy. They even have an option where you supply the photo's, and they do the rest. I prefer to do my own editing.
I wait till they put these books on sale for 50% off and unlimited photo's (sort of) and free shipping.
I just ordered my wildlife photo album from them, a 10X10 album with 111 pages of great photo's for $17.95 each and free shipping, you cannot touch this price.
I will be selling these new photo books at my new show this summer in Greenville, Pennsylvania.
Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.

I used Blurb in conjunction wiith Lightroom. It's fairly easy to use and the quality is excellent. they offer a wide range of binding styles from magazine to hard cover with or without a dust jacket. They offer paper choices as well. Not cheap.

I use Bay Photo. www.bayphoto.com Amazing quality and fantastic service. You need to use their baryoes (bay photo remote ordering system). It is a bit complicated at first; but after a while it becomes very intuitive.

I've used Adoramapix for quite a few books. They've changed the name, but I'm sure you can find it at adorama.com. I don't use a pre-made pattern, preferring to layout the pages the way I want.

To answer one of your earlier questions, Shutterfly has a feature that will take your photos, once you've uploaded them, and automatically create a book from them. This is not an "intelligent, human" process so be aware that the sequence of the photos may seem strange, but if your subject matter isn't "sequence-sensitive," it's a very quick way to get a book. And if you need to move a few photos around, you can then move them off their assigned page, back into the bonepile of unused photos, and then reassign the shot where you want.

I've also used Shutterfly for several years for photo books on trips we've taken. Very pleased with the quality and flexibility of the program. You can choose to use their templates, let them create the first draft for you, or do everything yourself, including deciding how to size and place all photos. Adding text, borders, fancy covers, additional pages, etc. is very easy, and the books are fun to make. A great stay-at-home project.

As also mentioned above, once you get on their email list, you will regularly receive major discount offers. The discounts can also be found on the Shutterfly website.

While the program is pretty intuitive, there are also lots of YouTube videos on how to make a photo book. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jdq6ovBzZwQ

I have used both Shutterfly and Blurb. I liked both, but each had its downsize also. Shutterfly has a white binding edge that I find distracting, but their creation tools are pretty intuitive. Blurb (done by hand, not by LR) was a bit more difficult, but once I got started, it worked. Shutterfly offers more discounts than Blurb does, I think. I ended up deciding on Blurb as the ones I put out for sale to the public. I've never tried the Costco books.

If looking for a company to print a book that also allows you to format according to templates or completely custom, look at Printerpix.com. They are good in price and very good in quality. Go to Groupon for big discounts at Printerpix and you can do a fairly inexpensive book to test quality and customization capabilities. I have been using them for a few years and the book quality pretty much matches the more expensive companies. With Groupon, its downright CHEAP ! Just keep in mind that in addition to the printing there is a separate shipping fee that is normally $20 for any number of books or prints shipped as part of the same order. Have had 6 books shipped for the same $20 shipping.

I also use them for metal prints are am extremely happy with their pricing and quality. Recently did a triptych in metal that looks fantastic on my wall

I've used Blurb for about 15 books. I always do soft cover with standard paper and have been very happy with the finished product. I like the fact that you download their editing software so the book remains on your computer until you're finished and ready to upload it to their site for printing. The software is completely flexible although they have templates you can use.

Shutterfly is great! I have used it since they went into business and get at least one photobook every year. The process is pretty easy and the results are great. Should you have a problem, they have very helpful online "chat" assistance and you can even contact them by phone. I have found them to be extremely responsive, fair and high quality. I use them for about 25 gift calendars each year, all our Christmas cards and many enlargements. I don't think you can go wrong. And, no, I do not have any financial connection to Shutterfly. I just think they are a great company.
