I am experimenting with different subject matters beside just landscapes. so this is my first try at "street photography " opinions?
Looks more like sidewalk photography, and you just reminded me, the first nice day I get I'm out to the shed to get my Trek road bike dusted off.

The angle at which the bike was taken leaves your eye to go to the building on the right. To correct it consider doing that image as a Vertical. No one out eating Lobster Rolls to do street photography?

My immediate reaction is that house right background would be better in focus as another point of interest. What I would do with present photo would be to crop it.
I've always considered "street photography" to include people and their activities, akin to "photojournalism." Your shot, tilted as it is (see the building on the right), might qualify as "still-life."
Thanks for input. I like the crop revhen. I labeled it “still waiting” because it’s been like that all winter. Perhaps “still life “ would be a better title, richinseattle. I’ll try to get people in my attempt at street photography since now they are coming out from their winter holes. And yeh Stan they’re coming out for their lobster rolls. thanks again for input. It helps me learn and progress. Peace. R

Cropped too tight vertically, IMO. Leaved the top portion of the image intact and see how that works.

I like the image, Berman. Contrary to Rich’s point, I think any photo that depicts life on the street qualifies as street photography, whether a person is in the image or not.
There is something awry in the tilting of the background elements. The utility pole the bike is chained to is vertical but the background scenery looks tilted to the right. If the background is straightened, the utility pole would be leaning to the left.

This cropping does not work well. It results in this photo being a 'portrait' of a bicycle. I think more of the image is needed to provide context.
I’m seeing things in my photo that I didn’t see before. Thanks for opening my eyes all. R
