I have three versions of Photoshop CC. 2018, 2019 and 2020. My Nik filters are present and functioning in the 2018 version but not in 2019 and 2020. I still have the installation files of NIK.
I do find a folder in the 2018 version that does not seem to be present in 2019 & 2020. I also find the application file for 2018 that contains folder of "plugins" and other features, but the two application files for 2019 & 2020 are not present in this folder.

Any suggestions from UHH Photoshop CC gurus? This is not a pressing issue, but I do like things working correctly (if possible).

With other stuff, simply copying the folders work so... Try it.

I had that same thought, but feared "screwing" up the functioning 2018. I suppose if it does, I might just undo what I copied and pasted. What's your take?

You're fine if you copy the GOOGLE plugin folder and paste respectively.

Mark, are installation files for the free or paid version? Many people have encountered compatibility problems between recent PS versions and free NIK. You might have to break down and buy the updated version to achieve PS compatibility.

Well I copied and pasted 2019 & 2020 into the folder. Now, 2019 has the filters, but 2020 does not. These are the original free filters of NIK. They have always worked in previous versions of PSCC. I'm going to reboot and see if that helps 2020.

Copy it again and paste it into 2020 plugin folder Mark. It's important it's pasted in the correct directory of both versions of PS. The folder you are copying is called Google.

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Plug-ins
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2020\Plug-ins

Thank you. Since the folder looked like the application, I was reluctant to open it and paste. However, it was not the application.

I've encountered the same problem. Nik doesn't work on the latest PS update. It seemed to occur around the same time I did a Windows 10 update so assumed that was the cause. So, since I only use Nik for the B&W conversions, I just open the older PS version.

I appreciate all the replies and suggestions. All versions of Photoshop CC are now working with NIK filters. Copying and pasting into the correct folder(s) solved the issue.

I haven’t used photoshop in years but you were able to address the problem two ways back in the day. I used to go to preferences and select other folders on my hard drive that photoshop would treat as though they were in the extensions folder.

I don't think that works for 2020, at least it didn't for me. I had to purchase new.
