I think the last is your greatest shot. I also like the 2nd one looking directly at you with great presence.

I know that's an unusual pairing but since we saw the cherry blossoms on the way to look for horses, I thought I'd put them together. We are fortunate that in Central Washington, there are still ways we can get outside while maintaining social distance. This area is primarily agricultural and borders the Yakama Indian Reservation. Both provide great photo opportunities when you get lucky. These horses are wild in the truest sense of the word. You usually have about 30 seconds to snap their picture.
When I posted these, I noticed that my ISO was set at 800 . . . far faster than I probably should have used but at least I ended up with a fast enough shutter speed to freeze them!
If you have a favorite, I'd appreciate knowing what it is and as always, I appreciate your critique. Thanks for looking and your time.

Sally,
These are magnificent, and I do not even like horses!
I'm also with Linda. My favorites are the first and last.

I think the blossoms are a tad under exposed. On the other hand, the horses are beautiful - #3 tops my favorite list.

After looking king at them again, I agree with you on the blossoms . . .they're a tad too dark for cherries. Thanks for your feedback and compliment on the horses.

Your wild horse images are fantastic. I live in the Seattle and would love to get over to the Yakima area to look for the horses. Any suggestions on areas to get to.

Of course this all is dependent on getting past the pandemic risks.

It’s a bit tough to say but if you come over, drive south through the lower valley toward Goldendale. Once you’re in the canyon, watch the ridges and hillsides as well as along the river. My husband drives for me so I can scout continuously. Once you get to where the pine trees start getting thick, turn around and start back. You just never know if you’ll get lucky or not. It’s all reservation land so there’s no access other than highway 97. Good luck!

I was born and grew up in the Yakima valley and spent many wonderful days on the reservation visiting friends
and relatives there. Picking berries near Mt. Adams and camping out were particularly memorable. The wild horses were like phantoms and ran whenever we got near. I never thought of taking pictures then and though we had a camera in the family my mother took all the pictures.
These photos are magnificent Sally. I also lived in Arizona for years and visited the Navajo reservation many times, I don't remember ever seeing a wild horse.
