There are different types of tulip trees, one being a Tulip popular which has green and yellow blooms and there is a pink tulip which resembles the flower you have shown in your post. Do a search for images of a tulip tree.

There is another Magnolia that grows in Southern US. This tree has large leathery leaves and has large white blooms in the summer and is very different from the tree you show. Check Tulip Trees.

The following website shows various species of Magnolia. I always think of the southern Magnolia as I lived in the south for a number of years.

That’s what’s called a Southern Magnolia Tree.We have several in my town and they are really beautiful. Magnolia trees are NOT Tulip trees.

Magnolia trees are sometimes called "tulip" magnolias, or "tulip trees" which causes a lot of confusion. If you do an image search for "tulip tree" you will get some photos of Magnolia blossoms in the mix.

There are two species of Tulip tree - Liriodendron tulipifera, native to eastern North America and Liriodendron chinense, native to China and Vietnam. They are in the Magnolia family, just to add to the confusion.

When we talk about Magnolia trees, we are talking about plants in the genus Magnolia. Magnolia tree blossoms are typically pink or white, while Tulip tree blossoms are yellow and orange.

Hello Will 47,
My take on this it's a Tulip Tree... They bloom before their leaves come out, whereas Magnolias bloom after theire leaves come out... There are quite a number of both in our town...

I have found an App (a free app) that will identify plants, trees, foliage, flowers, and more. I took your photo put it into the app and it came up with the identity. Kinda cool I think. It is called “Picture This”, and I know it is available on both apple, and the other phones as well.
