Great shot except: Would be a wall hanger if it wasn't for the people....

I've only visited Banff once; it was an amazing experience. Need to go again.

In 1964 my wife and her mother drove the Alcan Highway to Fairbanks, Alaska. (We got married in 1966 so I was not with them at this time.) She has a 35-mm slide show of that trip. One of the pictures her mother is standing on a black-top surface with a lake and mountains in the background. There is no label as to where the slide was taken except the word "CANADA" written on the frame. I knew immediately that this was the lake. There is absolutely no mistaking it. Now I have "Lake Louise" in the information file I put with all my pictures. (I scanned and digitized that trip 2 years ago.)
Thank you Rusty - - and you have a great picture there in my opinion.

Beautiful, but I would have removed the people, who are a distraction. In general the presence of people improves many landscapes, but not when they're that tiny.
Did you find it was better from that spot?

Now that would be a view to wake up to every day. Well done.

You know, I've shot it from the lake and your spot isn't bad.
I shot the lake from the hotel, the lake is so vast you would have to do a Pano from the shore.
