Stole it from a friends Face book page. She said it was ok. She is a individualist with a strong dislike for stupid.
What Covid-19 has taught me about people. There are 4 kinds of people:
Type 1: Generally middle aged or older. Supplies are already in the house. They have a sense of responsibility and preparedness. Makes fun of type 2 & 3 people.
Type 2: They flip out over everything. Could be any age, buy things randomly for no reason to make them feel better. they buy everything. They empty stores. They are unprepared fro anything. Has at least 100 rolls of TP. Generally make fum of everyone, but fight with other type 2 people.
Type 3: Millennials mostly, no preparedness. No urgency. Mad at type 2 people because they bought everything. Thinks people should leave things for them. They show up 3 days late and take picture and complain. Has 1 roll of TP and doesn't know type 1 people exist.
Type 4: Sees what is on the horizon. Takes quiet pains to make sure they have ample supplies before the madness begins. Posts pictures of their nature walks because they want something other than chaos in their lives.

Heard someone say the other day, "If the need is there, it is already to late". (I like to think I'm #4.)

Type #5: Those who dig holes, get in them, and ask by-passers to shovel the dirt on them.

And Type #6: Those who tell you that it will be over by the end of this week.

Think we are somewhat 1 and 4. We keep a good stock but did get some extra late January just in case.

~ 1 & 4, also. My walks have been lacking a bit though!! My own fault! We have always had a semi stocked freezer.

Type 5. They panic and don't know what to do, so they do nothing. As more times passes, and they're still doing nothing, their panic increases.

The alleged "Head buried in sand" syndrome.

(Ostriches put their heads down so the predators look at what seems to be a bush.)

I suspect most people around or over retirement age will fall into group 1 and or 4. Just because we tend to move at a different pace.

I'm kind of a #4, but don't do nature walks. I occupy myself on the computer (genealogy, communicate with friends).

My wife and I are combined 1 and 4. Being retired we usually buy at the beginning of the month with short errand trips for something we forgot or missed in the major shopping trip. Because we do that we generally are rather well stocked for a couple weeks into the next month so panic buying is unnecessary. Also, we try to look to the future and plan ahead. Learned by living life.

We are a combo of one and four. Also, I have a strong faith in God and I always look for the optimistic side. It is always there, it's just more difficult to see sometimes.

Number 4 seems to be the same as number 1. They have time to do whatever they want.

I think I'm a combination of type 1 and 4. I've got most of what I need at home and only go to the store when absolutely necessary. When I go to the store I don't get more then I absolutely need. Fear prevents people from thinking rationally. Relax and understand the world isn't ending.
