I have been making composite flower images for many years. A couple weeks ago I bought a new macro lens so I could shoot tiny flowers, so these are my first tiny flower composites. Each are two or three images on layers for which the scale was around two inches. They are combined in Lighten mode so the lightest parts of each layer comes forward. Then I burn and dodge the individual layers to further bring forward or send back the parts of the images I want.
John, All are good, yes, but somehow #4 pleases the pallette of my visual taste buds most. The spice of exaggerated colors adds distinct flavor contrasts of colors. The gossamer transparent purple is a mystic happening.
No 6 does it for me. The yellow and blue and over all composition makes me stare
Very nicely shot and constructed. I too like No.4 the best. Layers are wonderful tools aren't they
Is the brown just below and left of center in #5 an insect? I really love the electric colors in #1, btw. Thanks for these.

No insect, it's just flower parts. I actually don't like insects in my flower photos and I shoo them away.
