Well, when we had an outhouse I remember the Sears-Roebuck catalog worked well.

Also, had the local newspaper and Monkey Ward. And of course, as a last resort, sweet gum tree leaves or fig tree leaves. We are so spoiled nowadays! Lol

We have about two rolls left. There isn't a store around that has any. So what do we use of instead of tp??
Remember we are both old (over eighty) and both of us have tender butts so catalogs are out and so are coffee filters, tried them, really bad news.

Sears catalog or the like, phone books, corncobs, cigarette papers.

Been there, done that, when I was a boy scout about a hundred years ago. It ended my camping trip. But the rest of the troop from then on called me 'Ivy' When I went home for my fifty year class union I was greeted as 'Ivy,' fifty years later.

Nope won't use that again.

If nobody has suggested it yet, give the area gas station/convenience stores a try. They oft get forgotten

The Walmart closest to us is getting regular deliveries of toilet paper, facial tissue and Clorox wipes, but they're gone in the first half hour after opening. The drill is that you stand in line before the store opens. You then follow the line to the Photo department in the back, and they hand one pack of everything to everyone in the line. Yesterday they had the Walmart brand of the TP and facial tissue. Other days they seem to get some brand name products like Quilted Northern. Yesterday happened to be the day for the elderly to shop between 6 and 7AM. This seems like risky business, having hordes of elderly people out in public and not at home where they should stay as much as possible. If people would stop hoarding and just buy what they need, it would prevent this and you'd have product on the shelves like before. It's not like they've stopped making these products. Obviously this isn't happening.
