You have been to the lion's den with these. Very playful leisure time captures.

You have some very nice photo's of the lions. When I was there, you could almost reach over our jeep and touch the lions. No one every did on the recommendation of our guides.

Yup ... same think happened on our trip as well ... they were quite close on occasion ... & your guide gave you sound advice ... I think the dynamic would change dramatically were someone to reach outside or worse yet, get out of the Landcruiser. Thanks for the positive feedback. Appreciate it.

In our recent trip to Kenya, Keith (Retired CPO) & I were very lucky to see lions on several occasions. And we got to see them "up close & personal" on a couple of times. Since we were in the same vehicle, we often captured similar images, so I've tried to pick shots I liked but that are different than those Keith has posted. The 1st two shots were shot during our 1st encountered the Pride (EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS II USM) & were a bit further away than the remainder of the shots (EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM) which were shot the next morning. All were shot with a Canon 5dIV.

And thank you for looking & the comments. I'll make sure that Keith is aware you thanked him as well. It was a great trip & he's a good person to go shooting with ... very serious when there is game around & knows a lot about many of the animals & in particular, about the birds we saw.

Thank you Dennis … always appreciate your feedback. I liked that shot a lot also … think it was a daughter greeting her mother 1st thing in the morning. It was quite a moment … however, the collars really detracted from the shot, in my opinion. Thanks for the visit & comment. Best to you.
