This day... Capture the moment

Good day everyone.
Not a contest of wit and capacity to make good photos but to really capture the moment, however mundane...
I would like to propose a "This day in ?????"... capture the moment post.
We could start by taking a photo on the 1st of every month starting this May. A thread on that day, we post the images, capturing and freezing for history that date/moment of the earth.
So every 1st of the month we all post together on a "This day in (month)" a photo taken on that day only.
No need to be editing etc, just capture something you wish to freeze in history. Perhaps with a short message if needed or a wish, even prayers.
I hope we can all together chip in on this and make memories.

If the implicit purpose is to "show off" recent work, I'm not sure I see a point to this.
If the explicit purpose is to show what this day was like, it could be very interesting.

Couldn’t you just start a thread each month - with your explanation - in the “Photo Contests and Challenges” Section?
