Golly gee! Who would ever show a negative response to your offering? Thanks for sharing, by the way.

What was the sleepy little town? I grew up i Western KY.

Barlow in Ballard County. Hard to miss since US 60 did a right turn (with stop) right in the middle of town. That intersection had the bank, a hardware store, gas station and a combo appliance store/utilities office back then. I graduated from Ballard Memorial HS in 1963 as one of only two 17 year olds in the class most were 18 but there were a couple of 19 year olds and one 20 year old who had missed a few years of school due to a major illness.

Anybody remember a Winky Dink screen, Kukla, Fran and Ollie, Kate Smith? I suspect many do.

I could be mistaken but it sounds like the aircraft. Wasn't it a Beechcraft?

For our Canadian friends let's be sure not to forget Sgt. Preston and his dog, King, who saved the lives of Billions of Canadians in the bush.

My recollection is that 78's preceded 45's.
