Just wanting to see how these files view on UHH -
All are cropped. The first one is sooc
the second is Denoise only
the third one is Denoise and Sharpen Ai (focus)
Maybe it’s just me but I don’t notice a difference.
(you probably mean "mb") Nice, tight photo of such a tiny bird!
They were TIFF's before, had to convert to JPG for easier viewing

I couldn't see any noise in the first image.
The third image does seem a bit more sharp.
Please advise - are 2nd and 3rd pics from a RAW file?
So far as first pic is concerned, did you set up your camera, or was it manufacturers default?
As most Hogs will be aware, the sensor and anti aliasing filter require that all pics will require some degree of sharpening, depending on taste, however your sooc does look soft, although I see it is shot at 600mm full reach zoom.
number 1 pic is best , the 2 other are lighter and maybe less contrasted .very hard to say .
The first one is slightly soft. I see no big difference between the last two ones.
Darren,
Thanks for posting. I've been playing around with Denoise and Sharpen AI myself since late December. Did you take the tiff DeNoise finished file and run it through Sharpen, or did you run a new tiff through Sharpen AI?

I definitely see a difference in all three. The 2nd with Denoise seems to have sharpened it a bit, but the third is sharper and has less noise of the three. Thanks for posting.
When I magnify the downloads to 200% there is no question that #3 is sharper, more contrasty, has less noise. After looking at the magnified version, it is easy for me to go back to the original pictures and see the difference without magnification. AI Sharpen+Denoise has done a good job. It would be interesting to run the same test on a picture with a little busier background to see what, if any, effects are present there.

Thanks for the comparison, Darren. When you download & zoom, 2 is obviously better than 1 and 3 is slightly better than 2. (In my opinion that is !!)
Thanks, Darren, for putting these files out for comparison. I've also been using Topaz, and wondering how much difference it makes, and whether it is worth the extra time and effort.
I took your three files and put them into Photo Mechanic so I could look at two of them side by side, zoomed into what I usually do when looking at my own files.
To my eye, DeNoise with Sharpen AI, the one on the right, is the slight favorite.

If you don't see any difference, it's your monitor. There is a level of difference in all 3 images.
