For the last three weeks I've tried something new for me. I took a subwoofer out of a speaker, covered it with a black latex balloon then put acrylic paint on the speaker (I mixed it with water). I cranked the sound up high to "Comin' Home Baby" by David Sanborn. I don't have a micro lens but I did my best with what I had. Here are my results

These are very cool...reminiscent of a couple of routines performed by the Blue Man Group on stage in a slightly more physical way...they pour the paint onto the drum heads and then play them with regular padded drumsticks. Interesting show under the stage lighting, but also makes a really fun mess on the stage. I have a pair of the sticks, which they sell in their merchandise booth at the concerts. But they in no way display the array of color, texture, and sophisticated shapes that you have captured here. It might be fun to try this with some of their percussive music or with the drum solo from Iron Butterfly's In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida (had to check for the correct spelling).

Great job! Make a few more for us!

Thanks, I think the first few notes in In-a Gadda-Da Vida would work well!
