I saw something on TV that really bothered me. It was some people in a fistfight over some commodities like toilet paper. I would like to combat this with a movement I call “Deed a Day.” Every man woman and child in America (and elsewhere) do at least one good deed each day.
Please spread the word to every person you know and ask them to ask every person THEY know to do at least one good deed a day. Remember...
DEED A DAY
Also, please send this message to everyone you know!
My heartfelt thanks.

You are right a good deed it is always satisfying to see anywhere in the world. Unfortunately, this situation is about to get worse before it gets better.

Your picture said it all.
Good luck on that. But don't hold your breath too long. If it has to be encouraged it won't happen. Sorry to say.
Have been doing a variation of this for over 50 years, R. C. Have been paying a compliment to someone every day. Was told by a wise, successful businessman that if I wanted my business to thrive, that was the way to get it started. Am retired now, but I still do it.
The Scout's Motto " Do a good turn daily". I've lived by this for over 50 years

Me too, every day I do as many "Good Turns Daily" as I can, still have my Scout pocket coin to transfer to my other pocket when I have done my "Do a good turn daily" and have two Eagle Scout sons. More should the same. Too bad they are going bankrupt, they were forced to allow homosexual scoutmasters and now surprized that young boys were molested. very sad it was a great organization helped build and develop young men into leaders.
My son too became an eagle scout. And you are right, it was a great organization to teach young boys to lead people, have skills for everyday life and be self reliant

Yes, DEED A DAY (DAD)! An appropriate acronym for the movement!

Thanks for the message. I need to do that all the time. Glad you reminded me. Also, many years ago I had distant cousins who owned and operated a cotton farm in Bryan, Texas.

It is a great organization that helps build and develop young people into leaders.
It always needs adults that believe in the ideals of Scouting to volunteer as Den Leaders, Cub Masters, Scout Masters, Unit Committeemen, and Assistants. If you think you are too old to sleep in a tent on the hard ground, there are district jobs such as Unit Commissioners that work with the leaders of 2-3 units in their neighborhood.
If you believe that youth should be taught to be: trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, brave, clean, and reverent, and are willing to take the Scout Oath:
"On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law to help other people at all times, to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally strait."
Then you can be a Scouter.
You can also serve as a merit badge counselor. How about photography or wood working? Google for a list of the merit badges currently available and I'm sure you will find one or more that you could share your expertise, with some young person.
This is not just a boys game any more. You ladies can hold any of these positions.
Oh yes, It is Chapter 11 Restructuring and only affects the national organization. Your local councils are not affected.
Some people on my block are coming out at 6 pm to sing America the Beautiful. Plan is to do this daily.

This the time to unify the country . It doesn't matter which political party you are a member. The only way we are getting out of this nightmare is by working together. We have to take care of the hospitals, doctors, nurses and first aid responders. In Washington state, some restaurants are cooking meals for the hospitals.
We have to do this across the entire country because we are all in this party together. We survive together or we will die together. It might sound silly, but this is the sad truth about this Corona virus.
