When buying from B&H, I started paying USPS postage a long time ago. FedEx’s left hand knoweth not what right hand doeth.
Also got a PO Box. All worth it.
It is the quality of people working these days . It is in every profession . You will have to get use to it .

I had the same problem with UPS on the fifth day after it was promised I waited on the deck. He came by the house, turned around and started leaving. I chased him down and got my package. I made him give me ride back to the house while I chewed on him. When I was younger I would've let it go but now I've noticed that I am less tolerant of people and a hell of a lot more grumpy.
I have a shirt that my wife won't let me wear as often as I want to it says 'The More Poeple I Meet the More I Like My Dog.' I wear it every chance I get

I could write an identical post by substituting UPS for FedEx. Swore I would not use UPS again. Not possible in the online shopping world.

Do you live in the boonies?
Yes, I live in a rural area, 24 miles from the FedEx depot. But, I regularly get shipments from them and UPS with no problems.
I don't understand why some of you think that it's ok for a delivery that should be three days or so, to end up over a week or more! If it was your medicine, I'm sure you would want it when promised. Just saying

Guess I wont be buying from them any more.
Its not just camera goods. FexEx is getting suckier and sucker every day.
I've experienced this kind of BS the last 6 months or so with almost everything that they deliver.
From Ham Radio gear to packages from family across the country.
And what ticks me off, I'm on a main road and there is always someone home, the "claim" they tried to deliver
but never leave a note saying they did. When they do deliver, they run for the hills before I get to confront them
(like the gentlemen said above). And for packages that need signatures, they sign them.
I've called and complained, but just get static.
I've been telling anyone who sends me stuff to NOT use FedEx, use UPS or USPS. I'll pay the extra to get
good and reliable delivery service.
Sorry for the griping. I'm off my soapbox now.

I find the failure to perform highly objectionable. I always let the shipper know about the failure. They are in a better position that me to address it.

Maybe buy from your local photo store. Lesson learned!.
What local photo store? The near photo store from my house is 80 miles one way. So much for that idea.
Had a similar problem with FedEx with a package being “stuck” at a facility 20 miles from my house after being shipped from across the country. It sat locally there for a few days; I found they responded quickly when I posted everything and tagged them on Twitter.
I am waiting for a package from Fedex. It is supposed to be finally delivered by the post office. I received a text at about 8:30 this morning from Fedex that the package in undeliverable.
I have problems with FedEx deliveries. They use subcontractors. There is no regular driver with a route as with UPS and the USPS. As a result, there are many deliveries to the wrong address.
I ordered a lens from mpb about a week ago. Lens was delivered as promised, but the FedEx driver did not come to the door with the box (I was home). He instead placed it in front of the garage doors where it could easily be seen from the street if a porch pirate was looking around for something to steal. Luckily I blundered into the box while doing something else. I have yet to contact FedEx about this problem.
