Like President Trump or not however what his presidency has revealed is just how ingrained, deep and tangled the real powers with the government truly are and to what ends they will resort to in order to keep it that way.
And that...is the most worrying part of it all. Transparency is only as good as the direction one looks.
There's a story about a fellow one dark night that comes across a man frantically crawling on his hands and knees under the street lamp. The fellow asks, "What are you looking for and perhaps I can help?" The man says, "I lost my keys and I need to get home". The fellow asks, "Where about do you think you dropped them?" The man says, "Somewhere over there across the street." The fellow asks, "Why on earth are you looking for them over here?" The man says, "Because the light is better over here."
And therein lies the problem. Transparency is good however looking in the right direction produces results.
