Hello Dave from Derbyshire, welcome to the hog. Im afraid you have found a home here. Would love to see some of your work. I hope you post soon.
Hi all,
I am new to any kind of photography and I am kind of hoping to find someone to take me under their wing and who will help me get started without my wasting an awful lot of time on irrelevant stuff.I have a canon d600 and a couple of lenses. I can't be sure but I think I might be more drawn towards outdoor photography. I am sure you will all be to busy to take me on personally but if you could point me to the best 'in your opinion' sites I would be most grateful. John

All of us here at the hog can and will help you. All you have to do is ask about what you want to know, and you will get lots of answers. P.S. you should have posted in the "introduce" section.

Where do you live is a good place to start. You say you may possibly like outdoor, start there. Take some nature walks, Use the camera. when you get home, transfer the pictures to your computer and then study them. Does that sound like what you want?
Many thank's to you all for a warm welcome...Dave
Thank you Dixiegirl...Dave
