I just purchased online a lens cleaning pen. It has the Nikon name on a yellow background. It has a retrachable brush and a cleaning tip on the other end. Has anyone heard of or used it? Is it really made by Nikon?

Use one all the time. No it is not made by Nikon. Made by Lens Pen and Nikon puts their name on it as a promotional item.
Lens Pen is the original, your Nikon lens cleaning tool may or may not be a re-branded Lens Pen.
Sounds like the real deal, I used it on one camera, seemed to be alright, didn't scratch anything. Thanks for the input.

Captin C is correct. I use mine all the time as well. They are a great tool

I keep one in my camera bag. Works better than anything else that I have tried.
Agreed as well. I never shoot outdoors without a Lens Pen either in my pocket or bag.

A camel's hair brush is as good as any---BUT if Capt C says lenspen--use lens pen. ALYN
Best Buy sells a "LENSPEN" for $10 and some change, and Walmart sells them for between $7 and $8 when you can find them in stock. Compact, convenient and works great!
