Hi, Kathy here new to forum hope to one day be an advanced photographer and looking to learn as much as I can.
Hello Kathy - First I'm not too sure you will ever learn anything from me. I too am new to this site but so far have found all to very polite and helpful. When you are ready I would suggest that you post some of your pictures and or ask any specific questions you have. Just because I like to here are a couple {3} of mine - and yes I have issues with every picture I have taken and yes you and all are most welcome to tell me what you think works, and more to the point what does not.
Welcome.
#1 is good, perhaps too intense a tone for sepia for me, but I like the treatment and the frame.
#2 - you seem to have used an interesting filter, but the center of interest blends into the background and gets lost. I would have liked to see the image before post-processing.
#3 creates some problems for me. The background is out of focus, but not enough to be non obtrusive. Of course, the center of image also needs to be sharper... and more interesting.
Thanks for looking & thanks for the comments.
