Yes, I use the LowePro 13x32 cm case Black/Noir. It is well padded. I think it is about the best case for this lens. Has a hand strap and a shoulder strap. To me, it was well worth the money (whatever I paid for it).

I use the Lowepro for my 200-500 Nikon. It fits well and offers good protection.
Get a cooler bag that is oversized. Fill with layers of 1inch thick rigid plastic foam cutting each layer to suit the profile of the lens using an electric carving knife. Layers may then be glued together. And it does not look like an expensive lens but a picnic or a few beers. Sorry there is no picture

Yes, I use the LowePro Case and it does a great job of protecting my 200-500. Fits in my roll on.
Ape Case
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/903044-REG/Ape_Case_ACPROLC18_Professional_Large_Lens.htmlHolds my 200-500 Nikkor with D810 attached...with tripod foot and Arca plate. Nicely constructed, check the Q&A. Bright yellow interior, good padding, hand grip and strap.
Using it the other day and I wished for a strap on the bottom to help extract the lens, but that’s a minor nit.
It took me a while to figure out the clasp, but trust me...there’s a way besides brute force, and it’s so simple I felt like an idiot.
After I bought the lens, I realized I needed a tripod for it, then started wondering how to carry all that. Tripod and 2 heads fit in my Swiss Army computer backpack (some adaptation required, but I love the rubberized bottom), and I can sling the Ape Case.

My big disappointment was that Nikon did not choose to include a functional case with this excellent lens. The dust bag that came with the lens is nice, but offers no physical protection for a lens that is almost always going to be used in the field.nd
Several really good options have already been provided here. I found a Tamron-labelled "Lens Case 150-600,"made a sold by them for their 150-600mm zoom lens. It is designed with a dual-zipper top flap, like the nicer Nikon cases, and has three pockets around the bottom...one on each side with a Velcro-secured flap, and one on the front with no flap, but a small amount of security provided by the main flap. It has both a shoulder strap and a hand strap at the top, and cost $44.99 at my local camera store.
Dimensions are almost a perfect fit for the 200-500mm lens if the Styrofoam insert is removed from the bottom of the case. I remove my quick mounting plate from the tripod foot and keep it in one of the side pockets.
I use Lowepro for all of my lenses except for the few larger lenses when I use the Nikon case (which is just as good as the Lowepro case). I ALWAYS take my lenses in my carry on bag so never are they more than 5 feet from me. When I am onsite, it oftentimes carry my lenses in my backpack wrapped in cloth to buffer any contact. I have never had any problems with this approach to protect my lenses.

asked my local camera shop the same. Nikon hard case for 400mm also fits 200-500mm I was told.
