She is also one of my favourite Backyard birds. I tend to agree regarding the older camera as I got just as good as I do with my 24 T6i. But there is much more I can do with my new camera than the old XTi one.

Thanks for the comment BlingRunner. No fear as I’m sure next year we will again have some of these big characters looking for a handout. My backyard abuts on a conservation area where they nest every year. Last year we had the pleasure to have 4 visiting regularly, a family of three (including this lady ) and another young single male. The best year we had was in 2018 when we had a total of 7 vying for our suet feeders, a family of 4 and one of 3. Talk about a circus 🤪🤪🤪
